Janesville Resident Arrested After Pointing Gun at Subject

According to a press release from the City of Janesville, 29 year old Janesville resident Demarco Whitby was arrested on Sunday shortly after 8:45 p.m. when officers were dispatched to an apartment on Jackson St. in Janesville for an armed subject. The person who made the report said he pointed a gun at her daughter. Officers were able to speak to the victim, who confirmed the subject threatened her with a gun. After about one hour, Whitby exited the apartment and was taken into custody. A gun was later located in the apartment. Whitby was arrested on charges of two counts of 2nd degree recklessly endangering safety, battery/domestic violence, and false imprisonment domestic violence.
