Janesville Police Investigating Stolen Light Display

Janesville Police continue to investigate after a display at the children’s museum was stolen and later located. Police say in a release that they responded on Saturday morning to a report that a light display had been stolen from the area of Dodge and Festival Streets in western downtown Janesville that had been put there the night before as part of an event with the Children’s Museum of Rock County. The project was intended to serve as a fundraiser for the museum. The dome, which was valued at over $2000, was quickly located by Janesville residents and safely returned. The investigation is ongoing.
