Janesville Man Charged For Role In Capitol Insurrection

A Janesville man is facing charges after reportedly participating in the incident at the US Capitol on January 6. Multiple sources are reporting that Janesville resident Michael Fitzgerald faces charges of Obstruction of Law Enforcement During Civil Disorder, Knowingly Entering or Remaining in any Restricted Building without Lawful Authority, and Violent Entry or Disorderly Conduct on Capitol Grounds. The DOJ says that Fitzgerald was near the front of the line and entered the Capitol around 2:47 PM. More than 300 people nationwide have been charged in the incident so far.
