Janesville Man Arrested For 11th Offense OWI

A Janesville man was arrested Tuesday for his 11th OWI charge according to a Rock County Sheriff’s news release. Deputies responded to a disturbance between a male and female around 6am Tuesday morning on Highway 51. Peter Smith left in a blue Buick before deputies arrived at the scene. Smith was later seen driving in the area and was stopped by the deputy to answer questions about the disturbance. He showed signs of intoxication, complied with field sobriety tests and admitted to police he’d been drinking before driving. Smith was arrested on a felony charge of 11th offense OWI, he’s currently being held in Rock County Jail.
