Janesville Fire Awarded For Pediatric Save
The Janesville Fire Department says they have been selected for an award. The department says on Facebook that they, along with the Footville Fire Department, were named EMS pediatric champions of the year by the Children’s Health Alliance of Wisconsin. This award, according to a release from CHAW, was given after the two agencies collaborated to save a 17-month old patient in an emergency response. According to the press release from Children's Health Wisconsin, The Pediatric Champion of the Year Award recognizes Wisconsin EMS providers, as well as crews or individual stations that have been nominated for their outstanding pediatric care in a medical emergency or trauma event, as well as for their effort in pediatric training, quality improvement programs or child injury prevention. More information is on the Janesville Fire Department FB page.
