Janesville Economic Development Office Provides Support Letters to Local Businesses

According to an update from the City of Janesville, the Economic Development Office has provided over 40 support letters to local businesses for the State of Wisconsin’s Main Street Bounce Back Grant Program, which offers $10 thousand grants to businesses that expand or move into vacant commercial spaces. Economic Development Coordinator, Nancy McDonald, notes that the program has been a game-changer for the community. Grant funds can help pay leases of mortgages, operational expenses, or other business costs associated with newly opened locations. If approved, it will result in over $400 thousand in grant funding for local businesses. The program will run through early summer or until funds are depleted.
