At the Monday night Janesville City Council meeting, a presentation was given on resident satisfaction within the city. Residents were asked to participate in a survey, and the City received 623 responses. 75% of residents indicated that they believe Janesville is a good place to live, or start a family. They also said Janesville is a safe place to live. However, the survey revealed that community inclusion is an area for improvement. Residents also expressed that areas the City should prioritize include the downtown area, Center Ave. corridor, and the West Court St. corridor. Additionally, residents want the City to prioritize single family homes over condominiums and multi-family/rental housing developments.
