Internet Restored In Janesville Government Offices After Line Accidentally Cut
Internet connectivity was restored to government and public safety offices in the City of Janesville around 8 AM this morning. The damaged fiber optic cables were replaced after accidentally being cut during the Milwaukee Street construction project. The lines were cut sometime Wednesday afternoon and knocked out internet service for the city’s government and public safety offices. A construction mishap on the Milwaukee St Project affected the lines being cut. In multiple press releases around 5 PM Wednesday night, The City said they expected around 24 hours for the repairs to be completed, but that while City internet was down, the phone lines were working.
