Identities Of Janesville Plane Crash Victims Revealed
The names of the individuals killed in last Tuesday’s plane crash in Rock Township have been identified. Late afternoon Friday, the identities of the individuals were revealed as 25-year old Tanner Byholm of Glidden, and 26-year old Remington Viney of Kimberly. Both Byholm and Viney were killed when their plane went down shortly after takeoff Tuesday morning from the Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport, en route to Florida from Appleton. According to sources, Viney was a member of 115th Fighter Wing, which is stationed at Dane County Regional Airport in Madison, while Byholm was an Air Force and former Marine reservist. Both victims were described as qualified pilots, and the autopsy results were still pending as of Saturday morning. Byholm and Viney were the only two occupants of the experimental aircraft, which was discovered partially submerged in muddy conditions near the Rock River. The crash is still under investigation.
