Gun Used By Janesville Man In Dells Homicide Recovered
The weapon used in a homicide that involves a Janesville man has been recovered. WKOW reports that the firearm allegedly used by 34-year old Jeremy Mondy of Janesville was discovered in recent days. Mondy, faces homicide charges in Wisconsin Dells, and domestic violence charges in Rock County. He is charged with killing a Janesville woman at a hotel in Wisconsin Dells. Mondy was out on bond on the domestic violence charge at the time of the homicide. His new bond was set at $5 million. A housekeeper at the hotel discovered Mondy passed out on the bed with the victim on the bathroom floor. Mondy has reportedly changed his story to investigators after originally saying the gun went off accidentally. He later told investigators the shooting was in self-defense.
