Fort Fire: One Firefighter Transported For Surgery In Madison; Chief Debunks Water Supply Rumors

According to multiple sources, during a press conference this morning, Fort Atkinson Fire Chief Daryl Rausch clarified reports that the city’s water supply was shut off during yesterday’s fire. Rausch said this was not the case, and that the water supply is heading back in the right direction. Nearly a million gallons of water were used to attempt to douse the flames. Additionally, one Fort firefighter was injured and transported to UW Madison Hospital where they underwent surgery and are expected to be okay. Two other firefighters were treated for heat exhaustion.
