Fire Training In Jefferson

If you saw a plume of smoke in Jefferson this weekend, it was likely from a controlled burn done by the Jefferson Fire Department. Jefferson Police say that the Meadow Springs Club House was burned down as part of a training exercise by the Jefferson Fire Department. Fire departments will routinely perform these exercises to better prepare for actual building fires. Pictures from the controlled burn are posted on the Jefferson Police Facebook page.
