Officials in Beloit are investigating a fire this morning. The City of Beloit Fire Department says the incident happened in the 1300 block of Shirland Avenue. Smoke was seen by firefighters on arrival, and there was around $25,000 in damage. No injuries were reported, and the Town of Beloit, South Beloit and Janesville fire departments assisted on the call. The Red Cross was also notified.
