Emergency Postpones Beloit Schools Reopening Decision
The Beloit School District has postponed its reopening decision until March 1. According to the Beloit Daily News, Superintendent Dan Keyser had a family emergency, so the vote was suspended. The rest of the meeting continued as scheduled. The board intended to vote as to whether or not to return to a hybrid learning model for term 4 beginning in early April. The school board voted in July to have distance learning. Under the current proposal, students would be split into two learning groups, with some students coming in the first half of the week, and the second group the second half.
