Delavan Woman Charged After Massive Theft

A woman is now facing formal charges after stealing more than $800 in goods from a walmart in Delavan. The LGRN reports that 46-year old Sunie Beran, stole $844.19 worth of items from the Walmart located off of Highway 50 in Delavan. The retail theft reportedly occurred back on November 14th. Walmart employees told authorities that they were monitoring Beran, who had been seen placing several large items in bags. Police approached the suspect in her vehicle after leaving the store without purchasing the items, and asked her to return to the store. Beran admitted to the thefts, but pleaded with authorities that it was “a mistake”. She is charged with felony intentional retail theft, for stealing more than $500-$5000 in items.
