According to an update from the Delavan Police Department, they have received multiple complaints of a possible phishing scam being received by mail. These types of phishing scams usually take place by email when a scammer pretends to be from a reputable company in order to get you to reveal personal information they can use. Anytime you get an email or text message from a company you do business with and you think it's real, it's still best not to click on any links. Instead, contact them using a website you know and trust; not from the number(s) the scammer provides or the number that showed up on your caller ID.
