Delavan Common Council Approves Purchase of Water Meters and Cellular Endpoints

At this week’s Delavan Common Council meeting, they approved a purchase of water meters and cellular endpoints for 2023 at a cost of $49,370. The cost of the water meter is $141.71 per unit and the cellular endpoint is $105.14 per unit. The City Water Utility currently has 3,181 water meters (this includes rental meters, hydrant meters, and stock meters) in their system, and water utilities must replace meters every 20 years.
