Death Investigation In Whitewater... New Information

Whitewater Police are revealing some information about a death investigation from last week. Police say in a statement that on June 4 they responded around 9:20 PM to the 300 block of North Tratt Street for a report that a 23-year old man had just shot themselves. The male, identified as Zacahry Wasendorf of Whitewater, was discovered without a pulse and was declared deceased on the scene. The firearm was found and was determined to be owned legally. The shooting was determined to be accidental. The UW-Whitewater Police and the Medical examiner’s Office are among those who assisted on the scene.
