COVID Vaccine Saga Continues for Rock County Teachers
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services appears to have hit the pause button on vaccine distribution to school staff in Rock County. According to the Beloit Daily News, the DHS has now determined that school and child care staff will now receive the vaccine beginning on March 1. Beloit Health System says the current focus is on vaccinating those 65 and older as well as those in Phase 1A. 340 people in the School District of Beloit have already received a vaccine. Mercyhealth has also postponed rollout of the vaccine to K-12 school districts because of the new guidance. The guidance changed less than a week after DHS announced Phase 1B.
