COVID-19 Funding Pushes up Local Road Construction Projects

According to a press release from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, COVID-19 relief funding has allowed for the advancement of local road construction projects. The resurfacing project on Geneva Road in Wheatland from Grand Geneva Way to County O in Walworth County has been advanced into the fiscal year of 2021, and the bridge replacement on Main Street at the Rock River structure in Jefferson County is being advanced to the 2022 fiscal year. Overall, COVID-19 relief funding is providing $147.3 million to 42 highway projects all across Wisconsin.
