According to a press release from the U.S. Department of Labor, they have awarded nearly $90.4 million in YouthBuild grants that will help prepare young adults not enrolled in school or participating in labor markets for jobs in construction and other in-demand industries through apprenticeship and other career pathways. Of the 68 agencies that received grants, one was awarded to Community Action Inc. of Rock and Walworth Counties in the amount of $1,425,520. Through the grant, individuals will be able to engage in classroom learning that will prepare them for work-based learning opportunities.
