City Of Whitewater Announces Hydrant Flushing Program

The City of Whitewater will begin its hydrant flushing program on April 26 and will run through April 30. The city says that the flushing of water mains is necessary in order to deliver safe, clean water to citizens. If there are more repairs than expected, the flushing may last longer. The city does say that the flushing could lead to some water discoloration. Residents are recommended to run faucets cold until the discoloration clears. Reduced pressure from flushing can be fixed by cleaning the aerators on faucets. Questions can be directed to the Water Utility Department at 473-0560.
