The City of Watertown has launched a new business platform on their website, which includes helpful resources for starting or growing your business. This new business platform is through the Watertown Business Retention and Expansion Program, which officially began this month. Also through this program, city officials will visit Watertown businesses to identify their needs and concerns, as well as hear their opinions about local government and will learn from the business owners how they think the local business climate can be improved. The city has put goals into place for the first 12 months of the program, which include performing 18 site visits and 10 interviews, hosting the programs first annual Industry Appreciation event, and launching a featured business platform. Additionally, program performance will be reviewed every six months. At the end of the 12 month period, new goals will be set for the next phase.
