According to an update from the City of Janesville, they will collect bagged yard waste and bundled brush on the same day as residents’ regular collection for the week of May 2. Residents may leave grass, leaves, and garden debris for collection in paper biodegradable bags or reusable containers up to 35 gallons in size. Bags or containers must each weigh less than 50 pounds. Brush should be bundled no larger than four feet in length, 12 inches in diameter, and no heavier than 50 pounds. Size limits are necessary so bundles can fit into collection trucks. Residents should place bags and bundles at the curb, a few feet from their trash cart, by 7 a.m. on the morning of their scheduled collection day. If rain is forecast before the scheduled collection day, refrain from placing bags on the curb until the morning of collection. For more information, contact City Services at (608) 755-3110.
