The City of Janesville is attempting to solve a housing situation. In a press release, the city says that a local partner has been providing Janesville residents experiencing homelessness with motel vouchers. Emergency lodging has been provided to 13 families since December, a total of 45 people. The majority of the children in these cases are under the age of five. These families also receive transportation, medical referrals, food cars, and case management. Multiple other partners are assisting residents with rent payments. More information is available in a press release, and any questions can be directed to 608-755-3065.
