City of Janesville Seeking Nonprofit Grants For COVID; Firefighter Awarded For Efforts

The City of Janesville is accepting applications for non-profit grants in regards to the COVID-19 pandemic. The city says that the applications from the non-profits are meant to encourage prevention and preparation to the current global health crisis. The city encourages any qualified organizations to apply online on the City of Janesville’s website. More information is also available on the City of Janesville on Facebook.

Also in Janesville, a member of the Janesville Fire Department has been honored for his efforts during the pandemic. The city says that Dr James MacNeal was awarded with a city coin as a result of his work as the Medical Director at JFD. MacNeal is credited with providing important direction for both the fire department and the city in response to the global health crisis.
