City of Janesville Opening Rent Assistance Program to Waiting List

According to an update from the City of Janesville, the housing authority will be opening its Rent Assistance Program waiting list to new applications beginning on Monday, February 7 at 8 a.m. The list will remain open to new applications through Monday, March 8 at 4:30 p.m. The rent assistance program is a federally funded initiative designed to provide financial assistance to low income families to pay their rent and utilities, enabling them to obtain basic, decent, safe, and sanitary housing. Applicants must apply online through the City’s website, or they may contact the Housing Services Division at (608) 755-3065 to schedule an appointment.
