City of Janesville Adds Locations for Lead Service Line Replacement Project

According to the City of Janesville, they have added additional locations for the lead service line replacement project. During the week of October 11, the following locations may see temporary water service interruptions while work is being performed:

-E. Centerway Avenue from North Parker Drive to Williams Street **

-E. Centerway Avenue from Williams Street to Cornelia Street **

-E. Centerway Avenue from Milton Avenue to North Garfield Avenue *

-Randall Avenue from East Holmes to Ruger Avenue*

-E. Memorial Drive from Prairie Avenue to Caroline Street *

* Open to local traffic only during the construction process and will resume normal traffic upon completion of the service replacements the day of operations.

** Road Will be Closed to through traffic during the construction process and will resume normal traffic upon completion of the service replacements and road surface restoration.

The duration of water shutoffs is estimated to be less than four hours in length. The contractor will notify affected customers with a door hanger 24 hours before work begins.
