According to the City of Burlington, the city may be soon going through a rebranding. A grassroots committee comprised of community stakeholders began exploring and re-examining whether or not they are still “Chocolate City” or if they have evolved towards a new brand. The City of Burlington hired a branding firm to research and prepare strategic recommendations to effectively and creatively re-brand the community. The branding firm has been assisting the City in identifying its community perception; both from stakeholders and visitors to study communication problems and opportunities.
