The City of Burlington has posted to their Facebook page and map and link to a website regarding a plan for Municipal Redistricting. According to a release on the city’s website, the city is in the process of adjusting geographical boundaries of congressional, legislative and local electoral districts. This changes with population growth. This is a required adjustment following the release of the Census, with Ward boundaries expected to be as permanent as possible. The only changes are meant to equate for population changes, alterations in the boundaries and mathematical requirements to creating electoral districts.
