City of Beloit Searching for Suspect

The City of Beloit Police Department is investigating a suspect that fled from police. According to a release from the department, officers performed a traffic stop on Monday at the intersection of Summit and Wisconsin Avenue. The officer said a black Dodge Charger with Illinois plates, the vehicle that was pulled, then fled the scene at a high rate of speed, leading to an eventual crash. The driver fled the scene and was last located near the 1600 block of Dewey Avenue. He is described as a black male, wearing a dark colored hoodie and blue jeans. The suspect fled on foot.
