City of Beloit Police: "Take Pictures of Your Bike's Serial Numbers"

The City of Beloit Police Department is reminding residents as the weather warms up to check the serial numbers on their bikes. The department says they recover bikes all the time, and if someone takes your bike and you have a picture of the serial number, police will be able to trace it through the national database. The department says that when any officer runs the number on a recovered bike, it will report as stolen and the rightful owner would then get it back. More information is available on the City of Beloit Police on Facebook.
