The City of Beloit has opened all playgrounds. According to the Beloit Daily News, the city made the announcement over the weekend, and families were quick to head to the playgrounds with their children. The playgrounds had been closed for over a year, since March of 2020. Some playgrounds had opened in recent weeks, but a few, such as Big Hill Park and Turtle Island, were two of five that had remained closed. Improvements were made to some playgrounds ahead of the reopening, such as new mulch being added, and health restrictions will remain in place.
