Burn Ban In Whitewater

According to the City of Whitewater, a burn ban has been issued until further notice. This burn ban is due to the severely dry conditions in the area, with dry vegetation creating an increase in wildfires.

The city is also suspending the issuance of burn permits and states there will be no burning of organic waste allowed. Recreational burning is prohibited, but outdoor flames are permitted only for cooking purposes.

Citizens found to be in violation of this order will be subject to fines, and other penalties
