According to an update from the City of Burlington, the fire department has new upgraded EMS Monitor/Defibrillators. The Lifepak 15 will replace the two units that are currently being used by the department. The new upgraded equipment allows for the EMS team and the hospital care team to communicate automatically without having to step away from the patient. Lifepak 15 is used to collect patient baseline vitals such as blood pressure, pulse rate, SPO2 levels, 12 lead EKG, and monitor temperature.
