Bridge Involved In Jefferson County Accident "Likely" Needs Repairs

An update to a story we brought you earlier this week.

The Jefferson County Government says that the bridge that was damaged during a construction accident at County Highway E over I-94 could need some repairs. The bridge was closed for a short time to do a damage assessment and it was determined that the bridge could reopen to one lane of traffic to keep vehicles off of the damaged area. There are plans being put into a motion for a repair later this fall. At this point, a temporary traffic signal will be in place to allow alternating one lane travel.

Motorists are asked to use caution when approaching the bridge as they will likely have to come to a stop before crossing. When repairs begin to the bridge, it will likely be completely closed and advance notice will be given. Contact 920-674-7265 if you have any questions.
