Beloit Woman Charged In Fatal Wreck Makes Court Appearance
The Beloit woman charged in a fatal wreck made her initial court appearance. 27-year-old Alexa R Simpson of Beloit is charged with homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle, as well as additional charges of possession of THC and misdemeanor bail jumping. Simpson’s bond was set at $10,000 and she was ordered to remain sober at all times and avoid contacting the family of the victim. The victim was a 24-year-old man from the Town of Beloit, and police are not releasing his name. Simpson hit and killed the man while he was changing a flat tire around 8:30 PM on Maple Avenue. The man was pinned between two vehicles as a result of the crash, and he was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. Simpson will make her next court appearance on January 15th.
