Beloit Violent Crimes Interdiction Team Takes Suspect Into Custody After Shots Fired Incident

According to an update from the City of Beloit Police Department, the Violent Crimes Interdiction Team took an individual into custody yesterday for a shots fired incident reported last week. The initial call came in at 6:53 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, for an unknown problem. After the initial investigation, officers learned that a victim had been shot at. Evidence was gathered, and through the course of the investigation, a suspect, 28 year old Beloit resident Kewane DL Spence, was identified. He was arrested for first-degree reckless endangering safety, felon in possession of a firearm, and a probation violation.
