Beloit To Hold Cook Out To Improve Community Relationships

The City of Beloit, and Beloit Police Department have announced they are partnering with Community Action and will hold two neighborhood gatherings this month to work on creating a safer community. Two cookouts will be held at neighborhood parks, and Community Action representatives and Beloit Police Chief Andre Sayles will facilitate a discussion. The cookouts will be held June 15 at Vernon Park and June 16 at Summit Park, both from 6 to 7:30 PM. The splash pad will also remain open until 7:30 PM. The release also states work is in progress with other city departments to bring information on additional resources to these neighborhoods.
