Beloit School Board President Resigns
The Beloit School Board President has resigned after a nearly four hour meeting on returning to in-person learning. According to the Beloit Daily News, the board was debating whether to approve Superintendent Dan Keyser’s proposed hybrid model for student instruction. The meeting, which started at 7 PM, was reportedly still ongoing by 10:45 PM. That’s when School Board President Kyle Larsen reportedly sent an email to school board members announcing his resignation. There was no new information on whether a decision was made after more than three and a half hours of listening to spirited public comments. The school board voted in July to have distanced learning for the first quarter, but it was later extended to January 22nd.
