Beloit Police Respond to Threat at Cunningham Intermediate School

According to an update from the Beloit Police Department, yesterday at about 11 a.m. a threat of violence was found written inside a bathroom at Cunningham Intermediate School. School staff worked collaboratively with a Beloit Police school resource officer to determine who wrote the threat. As a result, an 11 year old student was taken into custody without incident based on probable cause in the investigation. The school was put in a soft lockdown while the matter was being investigated. There is no indication that the student had the means or intent to carry out the threat.
