Last night shortly after 11 p.m., the Beloit Police Department responded to a shots fired incident that occurred in the 1600 block of Dewey Ave. Director of Strategic Communications for the City of Beloit, Sarah Millard, gave us more details about the incident. She said that a nearby witness reported that he observed two males who were arguing in the street before they started firing at each other. There was also an occupied pickup truck parked in front of one of the residences that was struck by gunfire before fleeing the area. Officers did find broken glass and fire casings at the scene. Millard also noted that no injuries from this case were reported.
