Beloit Police Release Information on Wednesday Death Investigation

According to a press release from the Beloit Police Department, yesterday at about 12:10 p.m. officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of Madison Rd. for a person struck by gunfire. Upon arrival, officers found a 31 year old female from Beloit suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers administered first aid to her until the City of Beloit Fire Department arrived and transported her to the hospital. She later died as a result of the injury. The death is being investigated as a homicide, and police currently have the suspect, 34 year old Anthony D. Richmond, in custody on charges of first degree homicide - domestic violence related and possession of a stolen firearm.
