The City of Beloit Police Department is investigating a shots fired incident that occurred on New Year’s Day. According to a post from the department, the incident occurred on Friday round 2:30 AM in the 500 block of Division Street. A resident told police they heard multiple gunshots and observed two vehicles speed away from the area without their lights on. One vehicle was described as “light”, while the other was described as “dark”. Several shell casings were found in the roadway.
