Beloit Police Investigating Scams

Beloit Police are asking residents to be on the lookout for scams involving energy bills. The department says an alert resident informed the department that there was recently an attempt to scam the resident. The scammer says that they will cut off power within a half hour unless the resident make payments. The Facebook post from the energy company detailing the scam was shared by the City of Beloit Police. The energy company says that they will not call you to inform you of a late payment and ask for money. More information is available on the department’s Facebook page
