According to an update from the Beloit Police Department, they are investigating a non-fatal shooting that occurred around 3:10 a.m. on Saturday. Officers were responding to a report of shots fired in the 2600 block of Colley Road when a second report came in that a vehicle crashed and was on fire near Cranston Rd. and Austin Pl. An individual in the vehicle had a non-life threatening gunshot wound and was taken to the hospital. A second individual was transported to the hospital due to injuries received in the crash. Initial investigation shows the victims were targeted, and the investigation remains ongoing.
