Beloit Police Investigating Hit and Run

Officials in the Town of Beloit are investigating a hit and run. According to the department, the incident occurred sometime between Friday and Sunday in the 3900 block of S Afton Road. Police say the suspect vehicle hit a mailbox, and fled the scene without notifying the homeowner or authorities. The vehicle did leave damage behind, and it’s been determined that the vehicle is likely a GMC Yukon Denali in the 2005-2009 model year range. There also appears to be green spray paint on the grey bumper. The vehicle will be missing either a part of its front or rear bumper. The department has posted several photos to its Facebook page of the damage left at the scene, and anyone with any information is asked to call the department at 608-757-2244.
