Beloit Police Arrest Man for 3rd Offense OWI While Responding to Shots Fired Incident

According to the Beloit Police Department, on Thursday at about 9:45 p.m. officers responded to a shots fired complaint near Highland Ave. and Eighth St. Evidence of shots fired was recovered at the scene, and there were no reports of property or people being struck. While officers were on the scene and had the road blocked off, a driver went into the crime scene with a vehicle. The driver was identified as 34 year old Jesus Ramirez from Beloit. He was stopped and had an odor of intoxicants, was glassy eyed, and had slurred speech. He was ultimately taken into custody for 3rd offense OWI.
