Beloit Man Facing Charges of Battery to Probation/Parole Agents

Beloit resident 37 year old James Earl Bennett is facing two charges of battery to probation/parole agents after an incident that occurred on April 7. The case was officially filed on May 2. On May 2 a $100 thousand bond was set, and he was ordered to have no contact with two involved victims, their residence, place of employment, vehicle, or elsewhere. He is to maintain absolute sobriety and cannot possess any weapons. If released, he must remain in his residence 24 hours a day unless at work or traveling to and from work. Bennett has an upcoming court appearance on May 16 at 2 p.m.
