Beloit Man Faces Multiple Charges After Choking Man

A Beloit man who allegedly choked another man faces multiple charges according to a rock county court complaint. Police were called on June 14th to the 1200 block of Moore Street on a report of a disturbance at a home. Another man said Hoyt attempted to strangle him and restrict his breathing all because Hoyt thought the victim had stolen 40 dollars from him. Hoyt is charged with strangulation and suffocation, misdemeanor battery and disorderly conduct with all charges carrying a domestic abuse modifier. He was charged on the 16th.
